Wind Combs  I   Urban Shading, Steinberg square Holon

Competition entry 2014, collaboration with Barak Pelman + Superpool       

 

The ‘wind combs’, follow the formal arrangement of the square. In plan the systematic placement of the structures work as a filter, guiding the arriving visitors to either the steinberg center or to moshe sharet high school. But in section the unfolding shapes create surprises to make people wish to stay. From every vantage point, the ‘wind combs’ offer a different silhouette.
