Antel Arena  I   Multipurpose arena in Montevideo, Uruguay

Competition entry 2013, collaboration Juan Vallejo, Javier Guzman Dominguez, Danilo Brechner and M5 Arquitectura

     

The design for the Arena represents a responsive envelope design strategy which had been adopted early on in the design process in correlation to the local climatic conditions of Uruguay. The External ventilated skin was designed according to solar geometry in order to effectively block access solar gains in different orientations. By that a dynamic architectural design language had been generated.
