The design agenda was developed by carefully combining observations drawn from previous term’s environmental analysis of existing case studies in London with the new vectors and challenges of the current site in Brixton.

After identifying the problems and potentials of Southwyck house site in central Brixton, a process of generating new layout has started in which from the urban level to the flat level adaptive architectural strategies were informed by environmental analytic work and contemporary built precedents. The strong sense of community in Brixton served as an important inspiration throughout the design process so as the adaptation to future trends such as the changes in life style, technology and climate.
